Last March 8, 2013, Friday, bago kami nag-IHOP ni Papa N, I was invited by our sorority sister and Marketing Manager for blo Blow Dry Bar, Michelle Sadiasa, to attend a marketing event at their newly-opened branch at Serendra.
Napadaan na ako once sa first branch nila at Power Plant Mall (alam niyo namang yun na ang neigborhood namin ni Papa N. Chos! ;)). I was intrigued by their concept and their tagline – “you’re not cheating on your hairdresser.” Totoo nga naman that many of us are afraid to try out new salons and new hairdressers. Crowning glory ata natin ang nakasalalay, so why take the risk diba? So we tend to stick to our “suki” hairdresser. In my case, si Cris Delgado ‘yun located at Brgy. Alima, BaCav. Ang kaso, and I’m sure many will agree with me, hindi natin ma-meynteyn ang effortlessly gorgeous-looking hair na naa-achieve lang right after our monthly/quarterly haircut.
This is where blo Blow Dry Bar comes in. Isipin mo, a salon dedicated to just blowdrying your hair. Brilliant! You can get your haircut sa pinagkakatiwalaan mong hairdresser and leave it to Blo to give you that “natural-na-ganito-lang-talaga-kaganda-ang-hair-ko-everday” look! Winner!
When I arrived, I was immediately impressed sa minimalist/zen-inspired interiors of the bar.
I was introduced to the owners, Mr. Howard Chua and Mr. Edward Lee. They were the ones who brought Blo to the Philippines. Alam niyo bang sa Philippines pa lang pala located ang “international” branches of Blo, aside from the United States and Canada, where it originated? Ganun kabago ang concept.
Swerte ko na lang that they had cocktails during the event. Look! Nanghinayang kaya ako kainin.
I was led to my seat and was given a HAIR MENU. Ano yun??!
Blo’s Signature Hair Menu features 7 catwalk-quality looks. Depending on your mood, you can choose any of the following:
At siyempre, ang pinili kong…
Meet Teddie, the very friendly and talented session stylist of Blo.
Sa totoo lang, I felt like a celebrity the whole time. Sino ba namang hindi? E may paparazzi pang dino-document ang pagsha-shampoo ni Teddy ng hair ko?! Me na talaga!
After washing my hair, game time na!
Sessions normally last for about 30-45 minutes. Wash. Dry. Go. Perfect for people on-the-go, before going to the office or even after, before going to your gimik.
And the finished product…TARAAAAAAN!!!
O diba, pang-profile pic lang?!
Teka, teka, teka, wag kayo magkagulo, guys. Akala niyo ata si Anne Curtis ako e. Relax lang kayo. Kamukha ko lang si Anne. This is Ms. Provinciated, ang Ms. Pogi ng Bacoor, Cavite!!! 😉
Aside from the gorgeous hair, I also got freebies from Blo!
But that’s not all (parang infommercial lang ang peg), kapag sinusuwerte ka nga naman, nakasabay ko pa sa salon si Ms. Lauren Laudico, writer for TATLER PHILIPPINES!!! ZOMG! D and S, nararamdaman kong malapit na tayo sa inaasam-asam nating pangarap na ma-feature sa Tatler! Tadhana na ang pumaparaan!
