According to Kuya Tom, recently lang daw nagka-public high school sa Bangkok kaya karamihan ng hindi masyadong mayayaman, hindi marunong mag-English. Pero yung bus driver namin, lakas makakorek!
Me:
Please take us to Asia Tech.
Bus Driver:
No Asia Tech! Asiatique! Asiatique! (“Ashatic”) Not Asia Tech!
Pasensya! IT Park lang ang peg ko. Asiatique nga pala.
Asiatique The River Front is a night market destination in Bangkok. The shops found there are not the usual shops you find around Bangkok.
Asiatique has a wide selection of stores and restaurants. Before going shopping, we had dinner at Baan Khanitha, which means “by the river”.
The place is like an ancestral home sa Pinas.
Deep-fried spring rolls served with sweet and sour plum sauce, Spicy papaya and carrot salad with seafood, Spicy river prawns soup with herbs, Green curry with chicken, Stir-fried soft-shell crabs with yellow curry powder sauce, Stir fried sea bass with chili, hot basil leaves and eggplant, Stir-fried chicken & cashew nuts with roast chili paste, Stir-fried broccoli with oyster sauce, Mango and sticky rice served with coconut ice cream
Food was great but pricey! We got a set menu for 17 persons at 1,500 Baht per pax.
Tip: When eating in a Thai restaurant, ask that the chili be placed on the side… unless trip mo talaga ang anghang sarap!
