I do NOT like going to San Juan or Quezon City or places heading North from where I am.
But one fine humid Metro Manila day I was asked to come visit a little Greek resto in the heart of San Juan. I would not have gone all the way from Pasay to mid-way to QC if I wasn’t such a sucker for even a hint of good Mediterranean food. And Greeka Kouzina did not disappoint.
Why have I not found this little gem of a resto before?! Located in the not so innards of San Juan along Guevarra Street, Greeka has been serving up delicious meals for a few years now.
Warm smiles from the service crew of Greeka Kouzina
The ambience in Greeka Kouzina, located along is casual and warm… and I entered there feeling like I’ve always just gone there.
And of course, the food! Something about Greek cuisine, and especially Greek cuisine that’s cooked right. Lamb ribs (perfectly cooked, finger-lickin’ good…you shpuld eat with your hands), fresh salads (you HAVE to try the watercress salad!), souvlaki (meat on a stick, can’t go wrong) and they serve my favorite dish, moussaka!
Oooohh, and the desserts! We’ve got baklava made with divine pastry and not too sweet. And the apple pie that just melts in your mouth.
It’s a good thing that Greeka Kouzina will be opening a couple of more branches. They’re 2nd branch is in SM Aura, and they will be opening soon in Banawe and Kapitolyo.
Go get greek at Greeka Kouzina! Opa!!!
