Wax On, Wax Off

If you’re into the whole hair grooming thing like me, you relate to the term “tiis ganda” in a whole other level.

Yes ladies (and nowadays a growing number of gents may associate with this) I get super clean and super hairless down in my nether regions. It’s hygienic, it’s better to touch, and I get more feeling down there. *ahem*

There actually different kinds of waxing available and you shouldn’t be afraid to experiment. It all depends on your preference. It is after all your body and your hair. So let’s review your options.

The Bikini Wax. Basically, all the pubes that you would otherwise see when wearing a teeny tiny bikini are removed.

The Brazilian. Everything off. All the way to your behind. I prefer this. Parang baby.

The Sphinx. Also known as the Hitler. It’s like a little mustache — any which way.

The Diamond. Basically it’s half a diamond. You’re v is the other half.

Anyway, whatever your preferred look is, I say one thing is important: your waxer needs to know her stuff. She should be in and out of there in 10min (if she’s doing a full on Brazilian). That is a prized waxer…and if you find her, never let her go. You form a relationship with your waxer…nothing can be more intimate. She should only cause you the least amount of pain.

Next most important is — scrubbing. Believe me. 2 or 3 days after when you’re not so tender anymore, you just gotta…otherwise you get like in-growns like nothing…

There are several good waxing salons in Manila. Hot wax and cold wax… I still prefer the hot wax coz I have this theory that it helps open your pores and helps with pulling out your hair. I go to Strip: Ministry of Waxing. Their are clean,quick and efficient.
