Ever since I started working, I dread the months of November to December. It’s overtime season for me and my officemates because of the heavy workload kaya mejo ngarag ang lola niyo these days… or should I say the past weeks. After a hard day’s work, it’s nice to dine in a restaurant where you and your friends can hang out, eat good food and just…relax!
There’s this new restaurant in BGC, which offers a relaxing dining experience aptly called the Nest Modern Table and Bar. It’s located at the rooftop of W Fifth Building in Bonifacio Global City. It has an al fresco set-up with a nice view of the city.
For the younger ones (age-wise or at heart), you can go to the Raven Boutique Club, which is at the penthouse of W Fifth. But for people like me, who has no more energy mag-Tugs Tugs, you will find the Nest calming but fun 😛 The Nest Modern Table and Bar has an acoustic band every Wednesday and R and B nights every Saturday.
For starters, we had Foie Gras and Mushrooms (P550). Please huwag niyo na ipa-pronounce sa akin ito.

served with Feta cheese, Cistrus segments, candied walnuts and garlic confit
The Assorted Yakitori (P200) was very enjoyable especially with the Nest’s unique cocktails.

For the main course, we tried the Nest’s 2 Spiced Roast Pork Belly (P250)
Kurobuta Pork Belly, Soy and Garlic Noodle, Sesame Cucumber Relish
Beef, Cheese and Miso Spring Rolls (P250)

served with potatoes, bacon and lemon slaw
And Rack of Lamb (P950)
Herb and Mustard Glaze, Smoked Egg Plant Gazed Zucchini and Lamb Jus
This was my favorite. Mejo nahiya lang ako humingi pa. #pataygutom ;-P
And for dessert, we had Reese’s Sansrival (P200)

I loved all the desserts especially the Sans Rival. 🙂
All in all, the Nest Modern Table and Bar gave me my much needed relaxation to end the work week. The servers were very accommodating. The food was great and the company was awesome.
