Valkyrie was happening on a Tuesday night at 8pm, thanks to OPPO! For its new products OPPO threw a shindig at THE most happening place in the metro. Choosing Valkyrie was a definite statement. Valkyrie, THE hottest and most popular club in Metro Manila says big and bold like no other venue.
OPPO launched 3 new smartphones to add to its unique and sleek line of products… but not before some food and entertainment. We had dancers, a one-of-a-kind selfie booth, a light show and great looking models. The food was also quite excellent — I actually dreamt about that pork belly with 5 different spices and green mango, yummm!
Then, it was time to unveil the OPPO New Trio! The 3 new smartphones, each with its own look, style and feel to fit your personal preferences and lifestyle.
Joy Plus
Functional and easy on the pocket, and still has all the basics you can want in a smartphone! Joy Plus’ SRP is P4,999. It has a 3 MP camera, dual SIM, 4 GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. It could be the ideal smartphone for the laid-back, chill and likes to do more with less. It comes in blue and white.
Neo 5
It’s a little bit more expensive than Joy Plus by about P3,000, but definitely still more affordable than the other major brands out there, offering basically the same capabilities. The phone itself is stronger too, with a double-layer metallic layer. It’s thin, but it’s tough.
The Neo 5 is loaded with an 8MP camera, and a Quad-core processor, with 8GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM. It’s also available in blue and white.
This seems to be for the more on-the-go career person, who takes their photos seriously. Even in the poorer lighting inside Valkyrie, the Neo 5 camera was taking really fantastic, crisp photos on its brilliant display screen. Actually, I think it goes for all of the Oppo smartphones that were being tested around.
R1x
R1x is the most elegant and sophisticated model of the OPPO New Trio. It’s also the most high-tech – it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor, which makes it a really fast unit.
The camera, don’t even get me started. Just know that it boasts of a 13MP camera. Like, WOW.
2GB of RAM, higher than both the Joy Plus and Neo 5, and 16GB of internal storage with an optional slot for up to 128GB additional storage.
R1x comes in simple elegant colors of black or white.
