Pasko na naman!
In line with Filipino Christmas season, BAYO, a proudly Pinoybrand, launched it’s Style Harvest Line on November 17, 2015 at the BAYO Store in Glorietta 2. Attendees of the launch were serenaded with Christmas carols by the Virlanie Foundation Children’s Choir, were served Filipino rice cakes (sapin-sapin, puto bungbong, maja blanca, etc.) and witnessed the unveiling of the 7-foot tall parol that will decorate the store window for the rest of the season. All Bayo stores nationwide will sport the same window décor until the Christmas fever is over. These parols were made by the San Fenando, Pampanga artisans — known to be the best parol-makers in the country.
Taking inspiration from the traditional motifs of Pasko, you can expect BAYO’s Style Harvest pieces to reflect colors, patterns and cuts that remind you of parols, misa de galo and traditional Filipino festivities. The result: chic and clean-cut lines. And BAYO’s newest brand endorser is just the woman to promote this holiday collection – award-winning actress, Iza Calzado.
Iza said during the launch that she has always been a fan of BAYO and that it was a dream come true for her to become a brand endorser. She was so sweet and down-to-earth, but in a self-assured and confident way. Much like how I think the modern Filipina is. Iza highlights how the Filipina can be fashion forward, but maintain her heritage, in what she wears and how she carries herself. She was truly a treat to be around with.
So ladies, head over to your nearest BAYO store, and don the Filipino Christmas spirit! Support local, be a proud Pinay and celebrate your heritage!
