Finally, it has come. Ang excuse ko bakit ako lalong tumataba! I’m pregnant!

Dear Addie,

We didn’t pray for another baby because you are already a big girl. We prayed for another baby because our family has too much love and there’s room for one more to share it with.

We also prayed for you, Addie, very hard. And when you came into our lives, we were so very happy. Mommy felt so complete. We were so careful with you. We gave you all our love and more. Now, with your new baby brother or sister, you’ll see how mommy took care of you when you were a baby. 

There will be a time that you’ll feel that Daddy and Mommy don’t care about you anymore. We will tell you not to do this or that because we will be worried that you might hurt the baby. You’ll hate us because you’re no longer our only baby. 

But you know why it’s going to be great being a big sister? You’ll be a part of Mommy’s journey. You will be there to make her feel better when the baby is making her feel sick. It will be your chance to be a super hero to your baby brother or sister. And last but not the least, as the Big Sister, you can ask him or her to do things for you when you get older. 😛

Always remember that you will always be Daddy and Mommy’s baby, our panganay, and we will love you forever and ever… even if you tell us not to. 😛
