I was rushing through the door of the new and posh Globe Tower — comfortably nestled in its new home in the BGC Fort Bonifacio Taguig — for the Globe product launching, thinking I was late when I arrived at 7 p.m. Invite said 6, and I couldn’t get out of my meeting early enough.

Thank goodness they were still serving hors d’oeurves when I arrived, and the buffet still had a line. The event was catered by Kai — one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.
