On the way to a party, while stuck in awful holiday traffic, CJ and I got into some intellectual conversation. An important social issue came up, which I think is very timely, and I would like to bring up with all of our readers: Is man-scaping now an acceptable norm of grooming for the modern man?
Let me break it down for you. Until quite recently, and I am referring to my lifetime, I did not know that men actually get their pubes waxed, or trim them… I know some who dare to get their chest hair waxed off…and I think it’s good manners for men with back carpet to actually have that removed especially if they plan on going topless for ANY occasion.
I asked one guy before why he would even shave around his business, and the answer was because it made business look bigger. Hmmm… made me think whether the bush was just out of control or whether business needed enhancement.
Anyway, I know there are varying preferences when it comes to women’s body hair. I know some prefer the totally bare, baby-like feel…while others still prefer to go “native” and bushy. To each his own, right? But what about for the men?
(perfectly manscaped specimen…swooooon…)
I personally prefer some left there, neatly trimmed (not shaved). I guess it still lets me know that my man is er…manly… If he was smoother down there than me, I would have serious insecurity issues. I don’t mind a little chest hair, but I would not like to feel like I was lying on a grizzly bear when I’m snuggling. Definitely no back hair allowed.
As part of this social research, I would like to find out from our readers (you can ask your friends and family for their opinion too) if you prefer your man/men man-scaped. Your responses will be collected and collated and presented in a follow-up entry. Send us your comments and help settle this emerging social issue.

I prefer my man bare, with a little bush on my play area… 😉
