It’s that time of the year again. At dahil pinaninindigan ko ang aking pagkaTita, I have decided to include in my New Year’s Resolution List the KonMari-ing my life.
Marie Kondo is the world wide phenomenal author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up:The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. I found out about this through my “Lolas” group… my highschool BFFs group that end up talking about garage sales, adult coloring books, spirit cleansing, and all those “lola” stuff… and we luuuuv it!

Decluttering is not easy. All of us have a lot of attachments to material things. Especially me. I have to admit, I like knowing I have nice things, and I get really sentimental. As I have mentioned before, I still wear clothes that I’ve had since college or even law school.
According to Marie Kondo the important thing to remember is to focus on the things that “bring you joy” and not on what you should get rid of. Mahirap sya ha. Mababaw ako eh. Everything can basically make me jump up and down like a child. But, as I know I deserve a better way of living, I find that I am now also committed to this. (Thanks Lola Powx for the inspo)
So, I still have to buy the book, but I’ve been checking on Pinterest, YouTube and other blogs and websites about the KonMari way. Here are some links to get you started in case you are interested in focusing on what brings you joy this 2016!
